| Waste Collection & Recycling | Since October 2010, the District Council introduced new waste collection procedures which provide for a weekly collection of food waste and fortnightly collections of rubbish and recycling on alternative weeks. Full details are available on the Vale of White Horse District Council site. For Woolstone, waste collection takes place on Monday each week - alternate weeks are designated as "grey" or "green" weeks. Food waste and rubbish is collected on grey weeks, food waste and recycling is collected on green weeks. The following calendar is provided by the District Council and details which weeks are grey weeks and which are green weeks, and the different arrangements that apply around some of the bank holidays during the remainder of 2011. |
