The DM&S describes RUPP 4 as:
"from top of Dragon Hill Road at Uffington Parish boundary, South West to Woolstone/Lambourn Road".
| General Condition | Good (metalled road!) |
| Length | 0.3 miles |
| Navigation Problems | None |
| Stiles, gates or other obstacles | 1 cattle grid at the western end |
Although RUPP 4 is a designated right of way, it follows a metalled road for its entire length and the designation as a right of way appears curious. Despite this, the route has some of the most extensive views looking north across the Vale of the White Horse.
The western end is clearly defined where it meets the Woolstone to Lambourn road at Woolstone Hill. The eastern end is less obvious. Practically speaking the eastern end is roughly where the obvious sunken bridleway (BR 5) leads from the road up to the top of Whitehorse Hill.
